The Halifax County Heritage Festival Committee is pleased to present a special concert Friday evening, May 5 featuring Lawson Creek Grass.
The concert is a part of the 14th Annual Halifax County Heritage and Antique Machinery Festival and is sponsored by Burnett & Sneed, CPA, Doug Clark’s Furniture & Reproductions and Slagle Logging.
Fresh from the recording studio, Lawson Creek Grass is excited about the debut of their latest album, “It’s a Long Hard Road,” which is scheduled to release in early April.
According to band member, Butch Dawson, “The band is gearing up for a busy concert season and looks forward to performing at the Heritage Festival.” Other band members joining Dawson are: Starlette Austin, Greg Long, Danny Fitts and David Owen.
Lawson Creek Grass will perform on the stage located along the Mid-Way section of the Halifax County Fairgrounds Friday evening, May 5 beginning at 6:30 pm.
The 14th Annual Halifax County Heritage and Antique Machinery Festival begins Friday, May 5 at 12 noon at the Halifax County Fairgrounds. Festival times are Friday, May 5 from 12 noon until 9 pm. Saturday, May 6 from 9 am to 9 pm; and Sunday, May 7 from 1 pm until 5 pm. Admission is $5.00 per day for adults and children 12 years old and older. Children under 12 years old will be admitted free of charge.
